How can I be sure that my baby is warm when sledging in the snow?
Our designers use wadding to keep the body warm. This polyester-based synthetic component traps more or less air depending on its thickness. The thicker the wadding, the more air it contains and the warmer it is.
How can I be sure that my baby stays dry when sledging in the snow?
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm that can be supported by the fabric (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 2,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 2,000 mm water column. A guarantee of this jacket's quality. This coat’s fabric is waterproof on the printed side.
How to dress your babies so they stay warm on your sledging outings?
To keep warm and dry, just apply the 3 technical layers rule: Layer 1 or base layer, to stay dry. Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep in the heat. Layer 3 or a protective layer, to protect against bad weather.
One jacket for two styles
Our Lugik winter jackets are reversible and have two different styles so your babies are on trend this autumn/winter.
What is the water-repellent feature?
A water-repellent fabric lets water run off its surface, without absorbing it: the fabric does not soak up water and stays light and breathable. You can see drops of water beading and running off the surface of the fabric. A fabric is made water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (every 3 washes).
How to restore the water-repellent properties?
To reactivate the water-repellent property, wash the garment inside out on a synthetic cycle at 30°C and rinse thoroughly. You can use your usual washing powder but no fabric softener. Then leave your jacket to air-dry completely on a drying rack. Finally, turn your garment the right way round and put it in the tumble dryer on low heat for 10 minutes. The heat will reactivate the water-repellent property of the fabric.
Where can I write my baby's name on this winter jacket?
Space in the pocket to write your kid’s name and personalise the product. Handy for finding their jacket at the nursery this winter.
