  • Main fabric : 100.0% Polyester (PES) Coating : 100.0% Polyurethane (PU)
Function
  • Waterproof component This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
  • Component breathability To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 920 = little or no breathability.
  • Features 2 hand pockets with Velcro closings, half zip opening, elasticated cuffs and waistband. Neatly tucks away into its pocket.
  • Durability of the components Resistance to wear test: for example, we check that the fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in laboratories. Colour retention test: the colour fastness is verified to make sure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing should not affect the fabric's properties, behaviour, thickness or appearance.
  • Washing 1/ Machine wash (30 to 40°C): fasten rip-tabs and use mild detergent. Wash jackets and trousers inside out. Loosen straps and elastics. 2/ Avoid folding the garment too much in the washing machine, as: this can damage it. 3/ Do not mix the clothing styles and the colours. 4/ Do not use bleach. 5/ Choose a long rinse and gentle spin cycle. 6/ Either line or tumble dry (low temperature, short cycle). To ensure the highest standards of quality, our products are subjected to a stringent series of tests. In the laboratory, these trials put our components to the test: resistance to abrasion, rust… As well as testing our finished products for: waterproof

STORY

Created in 1997, Quechua is the Decathlon's hiking sports brand. We design and manufacture products for hiking in all its forms. From hiking to mountain trail via Nordic skiing, ski-safari, snow-shoe walking, camping and bivouac. The word "Quechua" originates from the heart of the Peruvian Andes Indian tribes - they are highly-skilled mountain sports enthusiasts, their sincere affection towards mountain and their spirit of preserving nature act as the guide our brand as we proceed forward.
Quechua headquarter located at the foot of Mont Blanc reflects our value: closer to the mountains and our customers. During Quechua’s product development, we always abide by our three promises to customers i.e. to ensure that our products must be innovative, of an environmental-friendly design and be sold at the most reasonable price.
