Sacrifice myself for my family
My name is Nancy, mother of 2 daughters. I have a typical working and housewife life and seldom do sport. I need to take care of my family after work and my eldest daughter was physically weak and a picky eater, so she needed extra care. That’s why I seldom do sports since I had my own family.
To action, not to complain
My daughter finds it funny to see me standing on the scale and complaining about my weight, but then we workout together. I gained some weight since that, and I do mind about my weight numbers but I never worked on it. I notice that my daughter has been getting healthier since she started weight training and fitness cardio exercises 2 years ago, When they were small, I encouraged them to be active, and now the situation changed. She pushes me to workout. At that moment, I realised that I had been ignoring my health for a long time, so we started doing cardio fitness exercises together.
Past ‧ Present
I used to take care of my daughters’ health, now it is the other way around. Parents are not the only teachers in the family; actually, we can learn from our kids as well. My daughter notices that some parts of my body need to improve and she tries to work on it with me. I am so happy to see my daughter establish a healthy sporty lifestyle at this young age, which I should have built.
I am blessed that I am getting stronger together with my children. I haven’t been doing fitness cardio for so long, but it is never too late to start! I am grateful that my daughter is not only able to take care of her own health, but also that of others’. I guess seeing children be healthy is the wish of all mums in the world. I am going to be an athlete, but I am training to be strong enough to work out with my children and even with my grandchildren in the future.
