How is comfort temperature measured?
We lab-test each of our products so that we can provide you with an indicative value on the item's comfort. This comfort indicator is measured without tights for trousers, and with a thermal T-shirt and fleece for jackets. The measurement indicated is that of the external temperature in which the testers are neither warm, nor cold. Of course, this perceived temperature varies in line with the intensity of the activity and metabolism of the individual.
How to dress to stay warm on the slopes?
To keep warm and dry, use the 3 technical layers rule: Layer 1 or second skin, to stay dry. Layer 2 or an insulating layer, to keep the heat in. Layer 3 or a protective layer, to protect against bad weather.
How is waterproofing of the fabric measured?
The resistance of a fabric is measured by the height of a water column in mm it can support (test based on the ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. This component with a waterproofing resistance of 10,000 mm resists the pressure of 10,000 mm of water.
For skiing, we advise components rated 3,000 to 20,000 mm.
Washcare instructions
To optimise the performance and durability of your product, we recommend the following:
* Machine wash at 30°, synthetic programme.
* Turn the product inside out.
* Add a small amount of detergent. No softener.
* Spin between 800 and 1200 rpm.
* Dry flat or tumble dry (preferably). This step is very important to fully dry the inner fibres and restore the loft to your jacket.
