HISTORY of the AREETA SHOE

These beach shoes are a mix between flip-flops and trainers.
Flip-flops give you the feeling of being barefoot, and trainers provide coverage and support.
The Areeta gives you the benefits of its two ancestors!

PRODUCT NAME

The name "Areeta" of these beach shoes is of Basque origin and means "sand". Sand, because of the beach, the gateway to all water sports! Basque because TRIBORD brand products are devised, designed and developed in the company's headquarters, located on the Atlantic coast in the Basque Country, in the town of Hendaye.

DESIGN and TEST IN USE

Product designed and tested by our teams in Hendaye, in collaboration with a team of external testers.

WHAT IS OLAIAN?

Tribord surfing products have now become OLAIAN products, the new Decathlon brand dedicated to surfing, bodyboarding and skimboarding. Gradually, the branding of all our surfing products will be replaced. Therefore, your product may display a different logo to that shown in the image of the product.

Why OLAIAN?

This Basque-sounding name is inspired by the surroundings of our development centre in Hendaye, on the Basque coast. It is the contraction of OLA, as OLATU means wave and IAN, a Basque suffix meaning “inside”.

Outer sole of : 100.0% Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) Upper of : 90.0% Polyester (PES), Upper of : 10.0% Cotton Lining and sock of : 100.0% Cotton

Maintenance advice

Machine washable at 30°C, short cycle. Rinse in fresh water after use in contact with sea water.
