Because UV rays are harmful to the eyes, all our goggles are certified 100% UV protection according to the EN 174 standard. Goggles are the best means of protection – they perfectly cover the eyes, preventing UV light from getting in as well as glare
The "PERFORMANT" anti-fog is a double screen with an internal face treatment combined with ventilation on the rim that helps ventilate the inside of the ski mask. Closing these vents with a muffler for example must be avoided to allow good ventilation of the inside of the mask. Do not rub the inner surface of the lens but carefully dab the surface to preserve the anti-fogging treatment for as long as possible.
A mask with a double screen can limit the formation of fog. Indeed, the air trapped between the 2 lenses provides thermal insulation. Thanks to this, the thermal shock between the inside and the outside of the mask is lower and thus slows down vapour formation inside the screen of the mask. Finally, the interior screen also receives an anti-fog treatment.
Triple cylindrical screen. The central lens is made from injected polycarbonate, very resistant to impact, whilst the inner lens is made from acetate and the interchangeable lens is in flexible polycarbonate..
Ski helmet compatibility
All Wedze ski goggles are designed to be perfectly compatible with Wedze ski helmets.
Compatibility with prescription glasses
The G 500 I ski mask, in size L, allows the use of 145 mm wide corrective glasses. The foam on the sides and the shape of the goggle skirt leaves a passage for each arm.
40 mm-wide Polyamide, Polyester and rubber elastic, non-slip silicone strap
Microfibre thermocompressed case
Remember to protect your goggles and especially the lens from scratches before and after use, with the Wedze microfibre case. This case also cleans the lenses, and the material is perfect for maintaining them without causing any scratches. The thermocompressed case is ideal for storing your mask and to protect it from crushing, in your bag when out skiing.
Flash coloured screen
A coloured coating on the outer face of the screen of the ski goggle (called coloured Flash) reduces the % of the light transmission reaching the eye, which means less glare and greater visual clarity in bright conditions
EN 174 Standard
EN 174 is a European standard for goggles used for eye protection when practising downhill skiing or similar activities such as snowboarding.
Humidity causes condensation to form. You must therefore avoid soaking the foam padding as much as possible, e.g. by placing the ski goggles on damp helmets or hats. Falling face down in the snow can also cause your goggles to fog up. This is why in all cases, you must dry your ski goggles overnight, so as to eliminate any trace of moisture and be able to ski again the next day with a perfectly dry product.
The goggles are selected based on your head size Select size S for a size up to 55 cm (or formerly S/M), while from 56 cm, select L (or formerly L/XL)
Product concept & technology
You're advised to store your goggles in their Wed'ze case after use.
All Wed'ze products are tested in target use conditions, including snow, cold and any other conditions you might encounter when skiing. Our design teams, product managers, engineers and garment designers ensure that products are suitable for their intended use and hold up in real-world conditions.
