Technical information

Your comfort above all

To take full advantage of a hike, we devote particular attention to designing comfortable products.
The back, shoulder straps and handle are comfortable because of their thickness and structure composed of different types of foam padding covered with a 3D mesh to improve ventilation and drying.
Back:2 pads with 2 types of foam (PE - PU), 18 to 28 mm thick.
Shoulder straps:2 types of foam (EVA - PU), 18 to 21 mm thick.

Flexibility and practical features

This 3-in-1 bag adapts to your adventures and can be used in different ways:
- Photo backpack: the compartment for your photo equipment is built into the bag
- Backpack: the photo compartment can be removed to make the most of all the inside space. A removable middle divider makes organising easier.
- Photo compartment: can be used alone thanks to its padded structure and 2 carry handles

Access your contents

2 options to access your contents:
- once on the floor, the side on the ground by opening the entire back
- when carrying it, simply open the side access to quickly and easily grab your camera

Volume & capacity

Main inside volume of the bag (without the photo compartment): 30 litres.

Photo compartment inside volume: 10 litres;
It’s easy to organise thanks to the multiple rip-tab dividers and can hold:
- 1 Reflex camera with mounted lens
- 4 additional lenses/flashes
- Accessories and personal effects

Compact tripod stand and blanket holder on the outside of the bag that can be attached using the side and lower straps.

Photo equipment protection

The photo compartment is structured with 10 mm thick foam panels.
The inner fabric is soft.
To avoid any contact between the different equipment:
- correctly position the separators using the rip-tabs so that each part is properly wedged and protected
- divide accessories into the different pockets

Seal

The components of the bag are water-repellent so you can walk for a short while in light rain. To continue your hiking in rainy weather and protect all your belongings, it comes with a protective rain cover (stored in the bag's bottom pocket).

How to adjust your backpack?

Once the bag is loaded:
1 - Loosen all the straps, shoulder straps, stomach and chest straps
2 - Put the bag on
3 - Buckle the waist strap and adjust it
4 - Buckle the chest strap, adjust the height and width
5 - Tighten the shoulder straps (top to bottom)
6 - Adjust as needed
It’s fitted!

How to fill your backpack?

Put your heavy items at the bottom. Pack your clothes on top. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece within arm’s reach. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. The water bladder will be placed in the compartment provided along the back, and the water bottle in the outer pocket provided for this purpose.

How is volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standard method: we fill the main compartment, as well as each pocket, with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.

TESTS

It’s in France, at the foot of Mont Blanc, that our design team conceives, designs and creates Quechua products.
We test them in the field with other hikers to make sure that they are comfortable and durable. This backpack has been tested and improved by hikers in different climatic conditions and different environments.

Approved By

This bag was designed with the help of many customer reviews as well as the comments of hikers. It has been tested and approved by a panel of about 100 hikers hiking in the Haute-Savoie region.
In order to fulfil your requirements, Quechua products are tested in the countryside.
Our teams, as well as a panel of testers (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers), test the products throughout their development right up until they are marketed.
