3D HOOD AND FACE PROTECTION
Wed'ze has added a 3D hood with automatic tightening to this ski jacket. It moves with your head without obstructing it, in order to provide better protection in bad weather. It is compatible with helmets. The hood is preformed with a high collar for protecting the face in case of intense cold or strong winds. The flap of the zip closure is micro-perforated to facilitate breathing while protecting the face.
AT THE CUFFS: Wide, adjustable sleeves designed to fit over gloves. Elastane cuffs providing a perfect seal between the gloves and the jacket. AT THE WAIST: The snow skirt closes with press studs at the jacket hem. It prevents snow and draughts from entering when practising wintersports, and especially in the event of a fall. It is ideally combined with the BIB PROTECT salopettes to provide great protection for young freeriders.
BUILT-IN REMOVABLE LINER JACKET
70g/sqm recycled wadding on the back and chest for good insulation. Ergonomic cut. Panel that provides warmth and freedom of movement at the arms. Two breathable panels at the side provide good ventilation. The wadded collar and hood provide excellent comfort at the neck. Added benefit: 2 side pockets!
WHAT IS THE WATER REPELLENT FEATURE OF MY JACKET FOR?
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to allow water to run off its surface without seeping in. Our FREERIDE jackets are equipped with water repellent components that prolong their resistance to the weather. This is an additional technical solution for staying dry for as long as possible! You should repeat this treatment regularly using the products sold in our stores to maintain these properties.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MEMBRANE AND A COATING?
This FREERIDE jacket has a membrane: The membrane is a kind of very thin plastic film (polyurethane) that makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It has the advantage of being flexible, lightweight, durable and often more breathable than a coating, which is similar to having a layer of paint applied to the inside the fabric. It makes the component waterproof while remaining breathable. It is often less costly than a membrane and requires a lining for protection.
IS THIS JACKET WATERPROOF?
A component with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm can therefore withstand the pressure exerted by a 10,000 mm column of water. In addition to the waterproof fabric, the waterproofing of this jacket is enhanced with taped seams. These are waterproof adhesive strips taped to the inside seams of the garment to make it perfectly watertight.
TUTORIAL ON HOW TO WASH YOUR WATERPROOF GARMENT
With each wash, follow the set protocol in order to preserve all the technical features of your garment. Link: https://youtu.be/rh4GLwALgBM After three washes we recommend that you renew water repellence using either a spray or soaking treatment
IS MY JACKET BREATHABLE?
To find out if a fabric is breathable, we measure its total evaporative resistance RET (test based on the ISO 11092 standard). This is the capacity of the ski jacket to allow the water vapour produced by the body to escape during physical activity so that you stay dry. The lower the RET, the more breathable the fabric. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric / 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric / RET > 20 = little or no breathability
WHAT IS THE RECCO SYSTEM?
With the RECCO® technology, you can be located in the event of an avalanche. Someone who is equipped with RECCO® reflectors and is buried in the snow can be quickly and accurately located by the emergency services using the RECCO® tracker. RECCO reflectors are not a substitute for an avalanche beacon. The RECCO technology works as a complementary measure, increasing the chances of being found in time. All our Freeride jackets and trousers are equipped with the RECCO system.

Our team of designers is based at the foot of the Mont-Blanc, near many ski resorts in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field, because we believe that the only way to continuously improve our products is to test them under the real-life conditions that you will experience in use.
