Stops snow from getting inside
This snowboard jacket is designed to stop snow getting inside:
_ at the back: snow skirt + longline cut for sitting down in the snow,
_ at the cuffs (very exposed area): long sleeves + cuffs to protect the wrist,
_ the neck: collar with a gusset that goes up high/hood with a rip-tab to keep it rolled up in the upper position and protect the neck beneath the helmet.
Although this snowboard jacket is designed for occasional snowboarding, it has 4 pockets:
_ 2 side pockets closed with a zip,
_ 1 internal pocket closed with a rip-tab,
_ 1 ski pass pocket on the left sleeve closed with a rip-tab.
Hood rolled under the helmet
When snowboarding, you will fall and snow can get into the jacket. In order to make the experience as pleasant as possible, the collar and hood were designed as a unit.
For the hood to be used as a scarf and prevent snow from entering, you must fold the hood twice and attach the hook so that it stays high and fills the empty space beneath the helmet.
The collar must be closed normally in order to keep everything tight.
Hood over the helmet
The hoods of SNB JKT 100 jackets are not designed to fit over the helmet.
This feature is available on the SNB JKT 500 jackets.
How does my product warranty work?
This product is guaranteed for 5 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. A product covered by the warranty will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. The warranty covers product defects, excluding those resulting from normal wear and tear and improper use.
How can I be sure that my jacket is strong and durable?
We guarantee our products for 5 years and will repair them with the help of local professionals if you should accidentally damage them. Contact us on our website to find out more, as well as how to get your product repaired. We take particular care in choosing all the elements and assemblies that make up our products, so that they are as durable as possible for snowboarding use.
Water often gets in through the seams. Does my jacket have taped seams?
In addition to the waterproof fabric, we improved the waterproofing of the jacket with taped seams. The adhesive and waterproof strips are placed on the seams inside the clothing to make it perfectly watertight. For this product, the seams that are most exposed to the snow (hoods, shoulders) are taped.
What is the water repellent feature of my jacket for?
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it thanks to a treatment applied to the outer surface of the fabric. The fabric does not soak up water and stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the life of the product, after 2 to 3 washes on average, using the products available in our stores. All the waterproof jackets that we design for snowboarders are water repellent.
How will my jacket keep me warm?
To keep you warm, we use wadding insulation. Wadding is a synthetic component made from polyester which stores more or less air, depending on the length of the fibres. Wadding can be standard, hi-tech or silicone-coated, each with different properties (warmth, low weight, elasticity, etc). We use 100% recycled wadding to reduce the environmental impact of the product.
How do I look after my product?
To optimise the performance and durability of your product, we recommend: Machine wash separately at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn the product inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Wring by hand. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not dry clean. Do not place on a radiator. You can restore the water resistance of the outer fabric using a fabric waterproofing spray.
