Technical information

Turns into shorts without taking your shoes off

Trousers turn into shorts thanks to a side zip on the legs.The lower part of the trousers that remains attached can be tucked away in the side pockets with safety clips.
In one movement you kid can change in all weathers and situations encountered when hiking or other outdoor activity.

Durability of the components

Resistance to wear and abrasion test: for example, we check that our fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in laboratories. Colour retention test: the colour fastness is verified to ensure that the colours do not bleed when coming into contact with saliva. Ageing test: repeated washing should not affect the fabric's properties, behaviour, thickness or appearance.

Quick drying

Drying time measures a fabric's capacity for drying quickly after being wet, according to a standardised protocol.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL APPROACH

We are aware that we need to act to preserve our natural playground, therefore Quechua is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its products. We reduce the environmental impact of these trousers by using water-free dye on the darkest part of the fabric and on part of the components.
This is still not enough and that’s why we're already working on this process so it can be replicated on all colours and components.

Our design team is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, we create and develop products that are beautiful, simple and technologically advanced. These are then tested in the field as we believe that the only way to continually improve our products is to test them under the real-life conditions that you will experience.

In order to meet your requirements, Quechua products are tested in the mountains, under the conditions you may encounter during your hikes.
Sarah, our Field Test Engineer, as well as a panel of child testers, test the products throughout their development until they’re offered for sale.
