Technical information

What is the UV protection of these kids' ski goggles?

UV rays are bad for the eyes. All our goggles are 100% anti-UV certified by the standard EN 174. Kids’ ski goggles are the best protective solution: they cover kids' eyes perfectly and prevent any UV rays and glare from getting through.

Why do these kids’ ski goggles have a dual lens?

These dual lens goggles reduces the formation of fogging. Indeed, the air that is trapped between the two lenses creates a layer of thermal insulation. Thanks to this, the thermal shock between the inside and the outside of the goggles is reduced, delaying condensation from forming on the inside lens of the goggles. To complement this, the inner lens is also given an anti-fog treatment.

What is “ESSENTIAL” anti-fogging?

The "ESSENTIAL" anti-fogging is made up of a dual lens with an internal treatment and an air vent on the frame that ventilates the inside of the ski mask.
For good ventilation inside your goggles, do not obstruct these air vents with a neck warmer, for example.
Be careful not to rub the inside of the lens but gently dab the surface to maintain the effectiveness of the anti-fogging treatment for as long as possible.

How to avoid fogging in these kids’ ski goggles?

Moisture causes fogging. You must therefore make sure that the foam does not get damp, by placing the kids’ ski goggles on a wet helmet or hat for example. Falling face down in the snow can also cause your goggles to fog up. This is why you must always correctly dry the ski mask overnight to get rid of all traces of damp to be able to go skiing again the following day with a thoroughly dry mask.

How should you clean and maintain the babies' ski goggles?

Outer lens:
Use a slightly damp microfibre cloth (or a cover sold in the ski mask department) to clean the outer lens. This type of cloth does not cause any scratches on the lens. Rub gently on the lens surface.

Inner lens:
The inner lens surface has an anti-fog treatment, therefore it is recommended not to wipe but rather lightly dab it with a microfibre cloth.

What are the lens features?

Wraparound dual lens. The outer lens is made from injection moulded polycarbonate which is extremely shock-resistant and the inner lens is made from acetate.

What are the strap features?

30 mm high polyamide, polyester and rubber elastic.

What is the EN 174 standard?

The EN 174 standard is a European standard applicable to masks used for eye protection when downhill skiing or similar activities such as snowboarding and sledging.

Is XS the right size of these ski goggles for my baby?

The XS size of these baby ski goggles is for head sizes between 44 and 49 cm.

Product concept & technology

It is recommended you store your mask in a Wedze case after use.

All Wedze products are tested under the actual conditions of use for which they were designed: in the snow, in the cold, and in all possible conditions you may come across when sledging. The design teams, product managers, engineers and pattern makers check that the programme for which the product was designed and developed perfectly matches its use in the field.
