Technical information

THE FASTEST SHOES EVER DESIGNED AT DECATHLON

To pull off this feat, we worked with the best partners both internally and externally. For the foam, we partnered up with Arkema, a leading French chemicals company. This alliance gave rise to VFOAM in Pebax ®, 20% more dynamic than conventional shoes. Internally, we developed the carbon plate with our innovative cell. The foam/carbon plate combo acts like a spring, returning 75% of the energy exerted.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE AND ROBUST

With the KD900X, you no longer have to choose between robustness and high performance! At Kiprun, we pride ourselves on the robustness of our shoes. During the design phase for the KD900X, we put particular emphasis on the distance these shoes can cover. We had them tested by some demanding runners: up to 1,500 km by one of our testers!

LIGHT WEIGHT FOR ENHANCED PERFORMANCE

The research and development studies have shown that a lighter product improves running performance by reducing energy consumption.
To design the KIPRUN KD900X, we made no sacrifices on comfort and robustness. We selected the most lightweight materials and optimised the sole design. As a result, the KIPRUN KD900X weighs 225 g in size 8.

DROP

The drop of the shoe is 8 mm.

During the Lille semi marathon on March 20, 2022, Yoann beat his personal record, finishing in 1h02'17 wearing KD900X shoes: a real achievement in an approved race. Yoann particularly appreciated their light weight and excellent grip on the road, especially on damp ground in hairpin bends, where the propulsion really came through.

Product Composition

Outer sole of 65% Polyether Block Amide, 25% Synthetic Rubber, 10% Carbon Upper of 80% Polyester, 20% Polyurethane Lining and sock of 100% Polyester

TESTS

The KD900X shoes have been tested in intensive use by 20 very demanding testers carrying out interval training of short and long duration. They enjoyed the energy return and the robustness of the shoes, since the KD900Xs retain their high level of performance for up to 1,000kms.

Approved By

Approved by Yoann Kowal who set a new personal record on March 20, 2022, at the Lille semi marathon with a finishing time of 1h02'17! The KD900Xs have never run so fast in an approved race.
