Technical information

Separate tightening system - 2 zones

The "habu®FitSystem dual-dial Focus™" configuration (produced by Boa® Technology) allows the rider to fully control the fit of the shoe in two distinct areas, to better control their board:
_ 1 wheel which serves as a millimetre at the bottom of the boot ensuring maximum control of the foot,
_ 1 dial which is used at the top of the boot and allows you to personalise the stiffness of your boot.

habu® Fit System (produced by Boa® technology)

The habu® fItsystem combines three important technical elements to transform the snowboard experience:
1) the innovative innovative wheel ensures micro-adjustment and precision,
2) the habu® cable is light, but very durable with 75 stainless steel strands.
3) low friction habu® guides ensure uniform pressure distribution whilst minimising wear and long lifespan.

How to repair the habu®FitSystem

Supplied by BOA Technology, the wheels and the laces of the adjustment system have undergone thousands of hours of rigorous tests in the lab and in the field, and are guaranteed to prolong the life of the boot on which they are built into.

Boot flex/stiffness

The All Road 900 flex is rigid (8/10).
Compared to the All Road 500, it has better board steering on hard slopes at full speed and is more solid on landing from big jumps.
The uncoupled clamping lets you:
- fasten tighter to stiffen the boot (for piste, freeride or freestyle jump)
- loosen to soften the boot (for use on quiet slopes or freestyling: flat, jib).

Adding Flex Up

The Flex Up (8600870) makes the boot stiffer by around 2 points of flex in 10 (with the flex up, this new boot has around 10/10 rigidity).
This is a plastic accessory which is inserted into the tongue of Decathlon snowboard boots produced from the 2022/23 season onwards. A pocket has been included in the design so that it's properly positioned in terms of height and laterality.
The Flex Up makes sense over time: If your boot turns more limp, give it a second life.

Heel support: level 3(/3) liner

Foot support is essential when snowboarding to steer your board (such as foot in the boot or liner in the boot). The level 2 liner applies 5 advantages:
1. thermoformable liner from home
2. Ergonomic Heel Pad foam
3. 2-point liner tightening + a strap on the shin
4. link between the liner and the shoe thanks to a textile sheet attached to the shoe
5. 3D insole to better fit the foot

1. Thermoforming the liner by yourself / WARNING

THERMOFORMING IS ONLY POSSIBLE IN BUILT-IN OVENS MEASURING 56 x 60 x 56 cm WITH A FAN MODE. DO NOT TRY ON A GAS OVEN OR A SMALL TABLE TOP OVEN WITH VISIBLE HEATING ELEMENTS.

1. Thermoforming the liner independently / INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. Heat your oven to 80°C in convection mode
2. Remove the inner soles from the liners, place the liners on the oven plate covered with a piece of baking paper
3. Wait 15 mins
4. Put the socks back on, put them on with a pair of ski-snowboard socks and tighten them (not too much)
5. Put on the boots on and tighten fully
6. Wait for 15 minutes when static.
This operation can be repeated if necessary.

2. Ergonomic Heel Pad ankle foam

The ankle bone padding fills the hollow under and behind the ankle to hold the heel firmly in place. The level 3/3 liner contains a foam made in an exclusive Dreamscape material and shape:
- the shape is based on an average of 40 foot scans. It is perfect for holding the foot tightly and adapts to everyone
- the material: a soft but firm elastomer foam.
You can feel the support as soon as you slip your feet inside. And when you ride, there are no hard points.

3. 2-point + strap liner tightening

On this liner, we kept just 2 points of tightening with the laces:

- at the instep,
- above the ankle bone.
At the top of the boot, we replaced the 3rd lacing point with a powerful tightening strap. We therefore reduced the friction of the laces (2 points instead of 3) and focused the tightening force to provide heel support. On the upper part, the strap locks the liner even more tightly to the shin.

4. between the liner and boot thanks to the fabric built into the shoe

The liner in the All Road 900 boots is surrounded by a textile layer, attached to the boot and tightened at two points. This concept spreads the tightening force evenly around the foot, for good foot stability in the boots.
This support system also prevents the liner from slipping inside the boots, in thin, to increase foot support.

5. 3D insole for a snug fit

The insole of this boot is 3 dimensional. This sole is pre-shaped at the heel and arch of the foot to help prevent the foot from moving inside the boot. It offers comfort and thermal insulation.
If you feel you need to maintain your foot more securely in the liner, there is another alternative: get a sole that can be thermoformed to suit your foot. This is the most effective solution.

Sole: grip, traction, cushioning and thermal insulation

Our Ultralight sole is 100% EVA. EVA is a very light material with 80% air. This formulation is designed to resist abrasion while keeping its damping properties. It is naturally very insulating and protects against the cold rising from the ground. We designed in large studs to offer you very good grip. Sufficiently far apart from each other, they help get rid of the snow.

How can I be sure it's the right size?

1. Put the boot on
2.Tighten the boot
3. Stand upright
4. Your big toes should just touch the tip of the boot without causing unpleasant pressure
5. Bend your legs forward, your big toes move backwards and no longer touch the end of the boot.

A word from the product manager

3rd version of the All Road 900 already.
We have kept its stiffness, which makes it the main feature, but we have also increased the support with two new features:
1. liner fastening thanks to a fabric lining that attaches to the shoe,
2. new lacing system with the Dual-Dial Focus®.
Thank you very much for your opinions which allow us to improve our models for the pleasure of all of us.
