COMFORT FIRST
The seamless assembly reduces the use of seams that would touch your body to prevent any irritation or chafing.
The cut fits loosely like a classic long-sleeved T-shirt to prevent it from sticking to your skin when you're hot, as well as for greater ease of movement and excellent comfort, whatever your boating activities.
NATURAL SUN PROTECTION
Sun protection is achieved without chemical elements, and thanks to the following 3 points:
- the threads used (their compositions and some of their technical features)
- the knit (the way the threads are stretched AND linked together)
- the dark colours used (the darker, the better the final result), and all white fabric is UPF 50+.
Each product meets the UPF 50+ standard when wet (stricter) or dry.
RESISTANCE TESTS
We have carried out several lab tests: friction and snagging. The product holds up well and is much less delicate than many of the weaves we have tested using the same yarn. This means that the weave is tight and fine, making this product much less delicate than other products.
To help it last longer, avoid any rubbing against the rip-tabs: this will damage the product.
QUICK DRYING
Some of the yarns used to weave the shirt are made of polypropylene. This material is hydrophobic and does not retain water.
We measured the drying time of the T-shirt in the laboratory after 10 washes: the T-shirt takes less than 6 hours to air dry, but this can be much shorter when sailing because of the flow of air.
HOW TO CHOOSE A UV PROTECTIVE T-SHIRT
We recommend choosing a light-coloured T-shirt: they absorb less heat than dark colours.
Choose a classic or loose fit so that it doesn't stick to your skin and your T-shirt can easily be worn before or after your activity.
UV PROTECTION EVEN WHEN WET
We have carried out laboratory tests which prove that this T-shirt is very effective against UV rays whether wet or dry.
WHAT DOES UPF 50+ MEAN?
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It is a standardised and globally normed index.
UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 95 % of UVA and 98 % of UVB rays.
