We developed a rear foot entry system that can be used while standing without losing the support of a conventional binding.

Programme/terrain

The SNB 100 Click binding is only for on and off piste. Do not use it in the snow park or for freestyle because it is heavier than a normal binding.
What's more, the forces placed on the click system during intensive snowboarding with big jumps can result in excessive wear.
It is perfect for those who do not wish to bend down to put straps back on all day. It is designed to save time and energy.

Opening mechanism

When stepping in for the 1st time during the day, you will normally fasten your boot with the straps, because it is still a traditional snowboard binding.
And every time you want to detach the rear foot, it's very simple:
_ pull the handle at the top of the highback
_ take the chairlift, ski lift, negotiate a flat section, etc.
_ to step in: click the back foot on the base that is still on the board.

Tips for stepping in (1/2)

Before re-clipping the rear foot, remember to complete the following 3 steps:
1. wipe the binding on the pad/mat provided, which should be glued close to the rear binding base.
WARNING: do not hit the board too hard with the binding to avoid damaging it!
2. remove any snow from the base with the back of the hand
3. verification: pull 1 or 2 times on the back leg to make sure you are properly clipped in before moving off.

Tips for stepping in (2/2)

To start, re-clip the rear foot on a flat surface without any speed.
By the end of the day, you will have become used to this new procedure and will be ready to step in on a slope, or with a little speed.
Additional advice: on a steep slope, always position the board at a right angle to the slope with the slope in front of you. Tap the front of the board in the snow to create a stable platform for your board, then click in calmly.

When not to use the click system?

The click system is very useful, however there are 2 situations when it is recommended to step out in the normal way, using the straps as before:
1. if the snow is too sticky (fresh snow that starts to thaw)
2. if the slope is too steep
You need to recognise when it's better not to use the click system.
To reduce wear, do not walk with the bindings on your feet when on tarmac or on cable car or funicular stairs.

Available settings

The SNB 100 Click bindings allow you to carefully centre your feet on the board thanks
_ to the 3 possible positions for the screws on the disc: 18mm of adjustment between the minimum and maximum positions
_ to the adjustment of the highback from front to rear: an extra 12mm adjustment.
The aim is for the shoe to hang over the board as much at the toe as the heel.
Then the straps can be adjusted to the shoe using the pre-drilled positions on the plastic parts.

What is the stance on the snowboard?

The stance is the distance between the 2 bindings in cm.
Although you can adjust it according to your body shape, bear in mind that all snowboards have a recommended position for the bindings (recommended stance, identified by a mark between the inserts of the bindings).
If you feel the need to move your feet further apart or bring them closer together on the board, do the test to see if you feel better.

How to adjust the spacing of my feet on the board?

For on-piste/off-piste boards, if you want to position your feet closer together it is best to move only the front binding further back, and if you want to move your feet further apart it is best to move only the rear binding further back. The aim is to be a little further back to turn cleanly on the slope and float a little more on powder.
For freestyle boards (symmetrical), it is best to move the 2 bindings to remain centred on the board.

What should my snowboard binding angles be?

For a piste-freeride programme, we recommend +18° at the front and 0° at the rear. For all-round freestyle use, preferably opt for 18° and -6°. The opening of the rear foot makes it possible to ride switch.
In pure freestyle use, do not hesitate to choose completely symmetrical 15° and -15° angles, for example.
The choice of angles on the bindings is very personal. Feel free to check out what others are doing and try out different options. There can be some good surprises!

Which size should I choose for my snowboard bindings?

This 2019/20 season, the SNB 100 Click binding is only available in size L, for foot sizes from 8 to 12.
The size M, for foot sizes from 3 to 7, is under development and will be available for winter 2020/21.
But just as you would always try on a shoe with your own foot, we strongly recommend trying on the bindings with your snowboard boots because, depending on the brand, a particular size of boot can vary in volume.

Before each outing, tighten all binding screws. Storing for the summer: it is possible to leave the bindings on the snowboard.
