Technical information

Component water resistance

A fabric's water repellent property is its capacity to make water run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. A fabric becomes water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores.

STOCK ADVICE

Store in a dry place away from light.
We recommend that you avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach, which can affect the thermal insulation of your clothes.

TESTS

We carry out 2 types of thermal tests:
- a test of the trousers' material.
- a test on a thermal manikin in a temperature chamber.
We reproduce the conditions of temperature, wind (5km / h) and humidity that you encounter on mountains when walking at 5km / h.
These tests enable us to validate our design choices and thus adapt thermal insulation where you need it most.

Approved By

All our models are tested in the field by representative users, tests that we complete in parallel with laboratory tests. The double scenario is a comprehensive and demanding way to design and constantly improve the technicality and design of our QUECHUA products. Your constant feedback is also taken into account to constantly improve our offer.
