Thermal comfort and wind-proof
The wind makes the perceived temperature drop considerably. With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, the perceived temperature will be -10°C. The so-called “windproof” components cancel out this uncomfortable wind chill. By creating a barrier against the wind, they are very good at reducing heat loss.
Water repellent property of the component
The water repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from absorbing water and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment must be restored throughout the garment's lifetime (after every wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores.

* Comparative study carried out in thermal laboratory, in walking conditions in weak wind (5 km / h). These products are tested in panoply with shoes, socks, pants, a first layer, a second layer and a third layer, all suitable for hiking in cold weather and snow-covered ground. Each individual, however, has his own sensitivity to cold.
Product concept & technology
Store in a dry place away from light. Do not use chemical products, such as bleach, that could affect the thermal insulation of the garment.
We carry out 2 types of thermal tests: - we test our fleeces' material. - a test on a thermal mannequin in a thermal chamber. We replicate the temperature, wind (5 km/h) and humidity conditions that you would experience in the mountains when walking at 5 km/h. We use these tests to validate our design choices and adapt the thermal insulation according to where you need it most.
