The grip of our soles is certified.
To get this certification, the boots must pass laboratory tests to assess the grip coefficient on different surfaces (smooth, rugged, dry, wet).
The soles of these sandals have a grip rating of 4/5 and are OUTDOORCONTACT© certified.

Durability tests

Laboratory tests were also conducted to test the following elements: tearing of straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of sole and upper components, accelerated aging.
These tests help us to improve the quality of our hiking sandals and prevent premature wear.

What is the origin of our leather?

We use a type of leather called "nubuck" on the upper. It has a soft, silky feel.
On the sole under the foot, we use a leather called "crust leather", more adapted to resist the repeated rubbing of the foot.
The leather used in these shoes comes from cows. No animals are killed for the production of this leather: we only use the waste products from the food industry.

Upper of 100% Leather - Bovine - Full Grain Outer sole of 92.5% Synthetic Rubber, 7.5% Cork Lining and sock of 80% Leather - Bovine (Cattle), 20% Foamed Polyurethane Elastic band 100% Polyester

STOCK ADVICE

We advise you to store your sandals in a place sheltered from the heat, if possible ventilated (avoid storing them in the boot of your car in the summer heat for example)

Not recommended in water or when hiking in the mountains

Our Quechua global design centre is based in Passy, at the foot of Mont-Blanc in Haute Savoie.
This location makes it a real meeting place for our teams (designers, product managers, engineers, etc) and outdoor sports enthusiasts.
A great asset for designing quality products for your treks, and bringing you all our expertise.

Approved By

These shoes were co-created with hiking enthusiasts via our Decathlon Cocreation platform.
In order to meet your requirements, Quechua products are tested in the wild in the conditions you encounter during your hikes.
Our teams, as well as a panel of testers (made up of partners, ambassadors and customers) tested these sandals during their development, over dozens of kilometres in Haute Savoie and throughout France during the summer of 2021.
