I played ball for more than 20years. I can say this ball is not worse than any ball you can find in the market, especially in this price range. I has the soft leather feeling like most indoor balls but the bounce could be a little delay while comparing with other FIBA approved brands. Which is a good thing for me so that I can remind me to dribble harder to get into the rhythm. The performance in outdoor is fair since the ball carries dust very easily. You may probably get some hours to tear the wax out then you will have a very good basketball experience. If you play more in outdoor, the 500 series may be a better choice since you don't need much time to break in. In case, you like a more decent feeling of real basketball touch, 900 series is what you should for.

I LIKE PLAYING WITH THIS BECAUSE IT GIVE ME A GOOD GRIP WHICH ALLOWS ME TO HALDLE THE BALL WELL AND PUT A SPIN TO BALL EVERY TIME I TAKE A SHOT!

We suspect that the product could have been old stock that has been stored in less than desired conditions, or could have been tried on by other customers in the store. Rest assured that we do place emphasis on taking user feedback to improve on our product quality.


Nevertheless, you can actually bring the basketball to any experience store (i.e. Singapore Lab, Orchard, Joo Koon, City Square Mall or Bedok), and one of our teammates from the Teamsports department will be able to inspect the ball further, to investigate on the possible cause.

Old stock with poor stitching (glue)

Good quality overall for the price, but the product obtained was manufactured a year and a half ago. The glue at connectors are coming off and the sticthing is in pretty bad condition. Would love to take photo to show but they dont allow picture insertion

Would recommend seeing the product physically before purchase (and check the manufactured date as well)

Takes time to break in

To those of you who are looking to buy a new ball, i would really recommend this. This ball when first bought fresh wouldn't be the best ball for games. It takes quite sometime for this ball to be break in, so do be take into consideration. After the break in process has been completed, the ball will start to feel like a $50 dollar mid premium ball, which was why i recommended it.

decathlon, if you read this, do make a version like the gg7x,
