This is an excellent value answer to resolving the uncomfortable swimming lesson hat issue. This goes on before the rubber cap and prevents hair pulls, and it comes off a dream! Superb value.

I was expecting this product to be Waterproof but unfortunately it's not.

I apologize for the bad experience that you have faced with the swim cap. Ideally, no swim cap is waterproof. The usage of a swim cap is to keep your hair in place as you swim, to give you more traction in water. It does not keep your hair dry. The primary reason for me selecting this product was the non-silicone mesh fabric. This makes it easy to wear and remove. Although it doesn't keep your hair dry, its purpose of your hair not falling in the pool is served. Fits well and doesn't come out while swimming or diving.
