As an Eagle scout, I was engrained with the belief to always "Be Prepared" on outdoor adventures. Last weekend that attitude paid off big time.

Even though we were scheduled to finish our Sai Kung hike by early afternoon, through a series of bad estimates and bad luck (like the boat out being cancelled) our hike turned into an 8 hour adventure ending late late at night.

Luckily, I had my Decathlon USB headlamp tucked in my hiking pack, so I was able to light the path for our whole group for the last 2 hours while we hiked through the jungle in otherwise complete darkness.

We worth the 100 grams or so that this took up in my pack. Will never go on a hike without it again.

The idea of this torch is very good, if it didn't break it would be my favourite, very comfortable, nice design, lasts very long, super bright and has the red light. But the charging port is the weak place. I only had mine for less than two months and it won't charge anymore. There is nothing wrong with the torch itself as it still has a bit of energy left and the red light still works but charging gradually became more challenging until it stopped working completely.

The problem is I am travelling for a year now and have no way to get back the receipt that is stored with my things, meaning I can not use the warranty.

Whats worse, my partner has the same torch and it seems to be doing the same, it needs to be held and placed very carefully somewhere stable for the charger not to move and not stop the charge. So often it was left for a few hours just to come back to find it it had lost connection again.

It's a lovely torch but this problem really needs to be fixed, otherwise it's just a landfill rubbish you pay £19 for.

The head lamp is really awesome im sure it will be very useful for me in future but i don't know when the battery is full while charging the green light is blinking repeatedly. I don't get proper instructions in the packet also.

The throw is amazing, best part is the USB charging! I am a tattoo artist and i use this for my detailed work and it serves the purpose!

Good one but I need little better light for long time after charging

I have used it yet fir my work but its too comfortable quality product same as information given on page just excited to use it on my work i work on ship so it will be very helpful for me. Will be sharing review after use too.

Good lamp .. once charged battery time is good.
Usb recharge is the best thing compared to changing battery.
I liked the features like the different colours visible near the USB port to determine the amount of charge, the buttons are good quality. I bought this for my dad who goes for fishing

I used to have an Onnight 410 headlamp that was returned to Decathlon for its technical issues relating to battery heating. Then in returned I opted for this headlamp. But, the flickering of the light is quite annoying as it puts pressure on the eyes.
Better go with other headlamps.
