Excellent illumination

Having a rechargeable main battery and normal AAA backup is awesome, and several lighting levels is great. The strap is stable and comfortable, even running downhill on mountain trails at night, which is made possible by the 200 lumens setting. Very happy with this!

Okay, the good things about this (from an astrophotography point of view):

White light can range from close to distance illuminating power.
Red light is first, and you can switch off without cycling through white light and ruining your night vision.

Bad thing:

You have to take the battery pack out to charge it.

Could have been great if it were not for that awful battery compartment design, as others have said.

The plastic WILL without fail snap on you and it requires a great deal of effort to get the back on and off to recharge the damn thing.

Wasted £30, do not have the receipt, or the packing so cannot take it back.

Quite disappointed in Decathlon on this one.

About Rechargeable trekking head torch - TREK 900 USB - 400 lumens - Yellow Used since 2 to 8 weeks

Used it in the last 4 trips. A little heavier than the Fenix single cell headlamp I used to have. I opted for this cos of the powerful lumens it has on the other grey 200 lumens. But the biggest advantage is the usb powered battery and the supplementary 3 cell battery case.
