Exceptionally sturdy, packs neatly. Material has absolutely no give at all which forces you to go minimal, but hey you don't buy a 40L if you don't know that already. With straps fully extended the space between the bag and the top flap was enough to hold a tent. Slightly on the heavy side, so hiking with it might result in better leg strength. There are other 40L packs that weigh 800g, but are twice as expensive and not even half as sturdy, so weight is a trade-off. Included rain cover is a winner; would have been better if it too was black. The strap side of the bag is a bit messy compared to the front which is super clean. Zips, straps and locks are very well done and seem like they will last. Good value for the price.
This is excellent quality and has great straps and back, however, I hate its design. The design is cleaver but it does not work for me. The outer compression straps get in the way of the zips of the easy access pockets. If you leave the straps undone they flap around. I also like to be able to rummage around and pull anything out I need and this is difficult. For example to get a laptop out, the easy access flap is not big enough and the whole back structure needs to be undone and then all the other contents has a good chance of falling out. Also the top 'brain' lies awkwardly if it is not clipped on and exposes the security compartment. Overall, it is a good try at doing something better but in my opinion it does not quite work but it might for you. The quality is excellent.
Bought for my daughter as a school bag. Good strong piece of kit. It holds all her school work and sports kit with room to spare.
She loves it and will also be using it on expeditions with scouts.
Great product, big enough for a week trip.
Great back pack, very comfortable, maybe not for a tall person, could do with more internal pockets
worth of money very gud quality
I have use this bag for Travel as well as Trekking ,that experience is very good for me because this bags to..back cushion is nice..or very comfortably feel
I have used the backpack for air and rail travel and not trekking, so the review will be biased towards that.
This bag does not have any convenient outside pockets to store documents or things which are required immediately without having to open the main bag.
Second, the top of the bag has an odd opening with a zip which is good to store some items of early use but larger enclosed items tend to fall out if opened in a hurry while travelling. This top part also has a small zippered pocket in its bottom surface which is good.
Third, the main compartment of the bag opens like a suitcase, which is good, but when you open the bag to pack you realise that there are no side 'containing walls' as in a suitcase, so while you can layer large items one after another but the small items drop off the edges till you close the zip and then it becomes like any other top opening rucksack.
A zipped compartment in the inside bottom of the main compartment makes it convenient to stow away used clothes as well as the rain cover of the ruck sack.
A longish side pocket is convenient to store long items and even slippers.
There is also a zipped pocket in the waist belt which is a nice touch. A secret zipped pocket on the inside surface could have enhanced it's value.
Lockability of the main compartment is suspect as it has two openings.
Overall quality of material appears decent though the plastic used for clasps could have been of better quality..
Shoulder padding, supports, waist belt are good
Overall, an average product for the price and not all that convenient since overall capacity is just 40 litres. A good point is that it can be taken as cabin baggage within weight limits.
