cold during Scottish summer
Usually a big decathlon fan but extremely disappointed with this sleeping bag. I was cold on a 9 degrees night and the material feels very cheap and uncomfortable to sleep in. Will be returning this item. My friend bought a 20 pound bag from Amazon, and I am sad to say it was better quality than mine.
Response from Sport Leader
Hi, thanks for taking the time to review our Forclaz Trekking Sleeping Bag 0c.
I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with this product, the nights in Scotland can definitely be chilly, even in Mid-summer!
However the bag should be able to keep you warm in such conditions, to be honest I'm a little surprised, because I have a 0 degree rated Forclaz bag, although the Trek 900 Down version and in similar conditions find it too warm if anything!
I have a couple of suggestions to help keep you warm, such as using an appropriate insulating sleeping mat such as our Trek 100 Forclaz Foam Mattress. If there is a lot of space inside the bag this can also prevent the insulation from working properly, you can fill any excess space with spare clothes which should help. Wearing a thin hat, some warm socks and maybe a thin thermal base layer could also help. Also using a sleeping bag liner can improve slightly the thermal properties of the bag and also help keep it clean.
That being said, if you are unhappy with the bag I would invite you to pop in to your closest store, where I'm sure they could find a solution for you.
I'm sorry again to hear about your bad experience, I hope you managed to enjoy the rest of your trip!
Regards
