Then a test on the finished product that simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: The backpack is weighted, placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking through thousands of cycles.

Quechua has conducted tests to simulate the ageing of its rucksacks. The tests focused on components, seams and the end product. Their results enable Quechua and Decathlon to guarantee the tested bags for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase shown on the sales receipt.
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using various indicators.
