Technical information

The UV protect function

UPF is a standard to measure the effectiveness on sun protect fabrics. The fabric of TRIBORD UV legging blocks at least 98% of UVB radiation and 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This guarantees effective protection from the sun when practicing Dinghy above the sea or lake. It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports. UV radiation is filtered by the density of the textile fibers, for long-lasting protection, even after washing.

Abrasion resistance fabric

The abrasion resistance is one of the key function to protect the sailor when they balance the boat or kneel on the hull when up or down wind. The seat and and knee is padded with durable compenent, which will reduce rubbing against the boat, and protect the key position knee and hip during the sailing, to keep the sailor with high performance during their practice.

Great freedom of movement

The Tribord dinghy legging uses the 4 way stretchy main fabric, with 20% of Elasthane of the material, it provide you the good flexibility when move on the boat.

Comfort

The soft and lightweight main fabric, smooth for sailor to wear it on and take it off. With the body anatomic cut and the non-itch flaplock stitching, it keeps the sailor comfortable when they sail.

TESTS

Developed locally based on the sailor user needs, and tested in Shenzhen with the young sailors. The fabrics used for this product are laboratory tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.

Approved By

The Anti UV main fabric is laboratory-tested by our product engineers. They meet the current standard: EN 13758-2 and DS068 in both dry and wet condition. We conduct tests on the materials used before starting production.
