Warm comfort and windproof

Waterproof element (different to watertightness)

A fabric is water-repellent when it lets water slide off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling and keeps it light, breathable and warm. A fabric becomes water-repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment must be repeated throughout the garment’s life (recommended after three washes).
