Did you know that your TRAVEL100 JACKET has been eco-designed?
The external fabric is made of recycled polyester, thereby reducing CO2 emissions by 5.6% compared with non-recycled polyester. The mesh lining is also made of recycled polyester and bulk dyed. This new process reduces CO2 emissions by 63%. The lining fabric used in the sleeves is grey because it mixes a self-dyed black thread with an undyed thread. Compared to a conventional dyeing process, this reduces CO2 emissions by 45%.
The security of your belongings: is paramount!
When backpacking, what could be worse than losing your passport or getting your phone stolen? In order to prevent this risk, so that you can enjoy your experience with total peace of mind, we have added a large discreet pocket on the chest. It will help you organise your belongings and fasten your keys to the snap hook provided as well. Thanks to the waterproof case, you will be able to continue taking photos in wet conditions or simply protect your passport if it is raining heavily.
Hardwearing clothing for backpackers!
When preparing your backpack, you always wonder whether the clothing you have packed will measure up to your adventures and whether it is strong enough! We select materials and assemblies which are durable. For example, for this jacket we subjected the fabrics to the Martindale tests to replicate the abrasion caused by backpack straps on the shoulders.
Durable clothing for backpackers, and what else?
The jacket was subjected to an accelerated ageing test in hydrolysis (10 days at a high temperature with a level of humility close to 100%). We did not observe any deterioration in the fabric coating or waterproof rating. This is why we can guarantee the durability and waterproofing of the jacket.
If you go home in the dark...
We have added reflective tabs on the cuffs. WARNING: these tabs are not certified and do not guarantee complete safety. When you want, you can turn the tightening tab at the wrist inside out to reveal the reflective zones. Warning: these parts are not PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT).
This jacket is thoroughly tested before being made available at Decathlon! To be 100% certain that it will withstand your adventures, we put it in the hands of backpackers for a period of 5 consecutive weeks. The objective of the test protocol implemented by our test engineer was to replicate the real-life use of the product in an accelerated way. We took advantage of this to make a few adjustments, but above all, we are pleased with the reliability of the product in the field.
