WHY CHOOSE TRIBORD'S WATERPROOF SAILING SHORTS 900?
We recommend you wear waterproof shorts during your races or active cruising sessions, for all users wanting to maintain a dry backside. The waterproof component combined with the construction of the shorts guarantees no water ingress. You are protected when sitting on the wet boat deck or when hit by spray.
How are Tribord's Sailing Shorts 900 made waterproof?
The component combined with the construction guarantees a waterproof model.
The component is waterproof up to 10,000 mm schmerber, which gives it a high waterproofing level.
All the seams are taped to stay dry.
No seam is positioned on the buttocks to make the product robust and avoid water ingress on the part that comes into contact with the boat when you are sitting down
A water repellent treatment has been applied to the component so that water glides off the shorts
ARE THE SHORTS DURABLE?
We have added reinforcements to the backside so that the product is resistant to friction on the non-slip material of the boat deck.
We have chosen salt-resistant components with solid zips to last you a long time through all your adventures.
WHAT ARE ALL THESE POCKETS FOR?
This pocket features 4pockets:
- 2 hand pockets, cut to keep things in your pockets when sitting down
- zipped pocket on the left thigh, not waterproof, to keep a knife, etc.
- a cargo pocket with hook and loop flap on the right thigh and mesh at the bottom to allow water to drain out of the pocket.
THE SHORTS THAT ADAPT TO YOUR SIZE!
We have chosen to put a belt adjustable by a rip-tab on the hips so that the shorts fit your waist and so you can adjust them to how you like. The shorts remain firmly in place, without being too tight, for optimal comfort.
The press stud guarantees a safe fit and is much less likely to be snagged or caught than a conventional button during your manoeuvres. They perform well during your sailing adventures and are stylish!
DIVING SUIT WITH RACE LEGGINGS TRIBORD
These shorts have been designed to be worn with the RACE leggings to give the leggings better resistance to abrasion.
HOW TO WASH YOUR SHORTS:
To maintain the water repellent properties, infrequent washing is recommended.
Close all zips and flaps, empty all pockets and then turn the garment inside out to wash it. You can wash it on a synthetic cycle at 30°C or 40°C with your usual detergent. Do not use fabric conditioner, which could damage the existing performance of the garment, or bleach. Very important: choose a full-rinse cycle or extra rinse.
HOW TO REACTIVATE THE WATER REPELLENCY:
Drying is a crucial phase in reactivating the water repellent treatment.
We recommend that you lay your shorts flat on a clothes rack and leave it out to air-dry. Caution: never dry your shorts directly on a radiator.
Then place it in the tumble dryer on a short synthetics cycle, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before turning it back the right way round. The heat reactivates the water-repellent treatment.
Caution: do not over-dry the garment.
