WHAT MEASURES HAVE BEEN PUT IN PLACE TO REDUCE THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR SOFTSHELL JACKET?
To reduce our environmental impact, we have put measures in place on several levels:
- The inner fleece uses a clean dyeing process called Dope Dye.
This process incorporates the colour pigments from the initial thread manufacture to reduce water consumption.
- 100% recycled polyester outer fabric.
- PFC-free water-repellent treatment
WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF THIS JACKET?
- 2 hand pockets with zip fastening.
- Elasticated tightening at the jacket hem,
- Comfortable, high collar for good protection against the cold
Thermal comfort and windproof
The wind makes you feel considerably colder.
With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, the perceived temperature is -10°C.
"Windproof" components fight the uncomfortable effects associated with this "freezing effect". Forming a barrier against the wind, they effectively reduce heat loss. This Softshell Trek 100 model is comfortable down to 4°C when active, worn as a second layer.
Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products for this are available in our stores. All Quechua Softshells have the benefits of water repellent treatment.
How to choose your size
Standard feminine cut. Inside volume enables you to wear a second layer underneath, such as a pullover or microfleece top, for added warmth when needed.
