How to choose camping gear?
There are a wide variety of camping gear available in the market. Some focus on comfort and some focus on light weight. Some people like driving to camping sites, and some people prefer hiking instead. There are no fit-for-all camping gear, especially for beginners, and the most important thing is to choose based on your needs.
1. Tent

2. Backpack
A 50L backpack is fit for most camping beginners to bring the camping essentials. If you need to bring more stuff to enrich your camping trip, you should choose a backpack with larger capacity. You may want to bring along everything on the camping checklist. Don't forget the more you bring, the more loading at your back.
If you are a hiking beginner, remember not to carry more than 15% of your body weight.
For a 60kg person, the maximum load on your backpack should not exceed 9kg.
A good backpack with a supporting system can perfectly transfer most loading to the hip (not your shoulders!), and keep your body balance.

Height vs Sleeping bag length
If the sleeping is too small will make you difficult to turn around; sleeping bag too long in addition to adding unnecessary weight, the larger the space inside the sleeping bag, the more energy the body needs to keep warm.
Environmental temperature vs. Comfort temperature
The sleeping bag is marked with "comfort temperature". It is wise that to choose sleeping bag according to the weather. Note that the temperature in the campsite used to be lower than in the urban area, you may need to choose a sleeping bag with lower comfort temperature.

Hood vs No hood
A sleeping bag without hood is more suitable for people who turn a lot when sleeping; Most of the heat loss from your head, sleeping bag with a hood is more efficient to reserve body temperature.

Down sleeping bag is the lightest and the price is more expensive; the synthetic fiber is usually heavier and the price is more affordable.
4. Sleeping mat
Sleeping mat is often missed out on camping checklist. It improves sleeping quality, in addition to keeping you away from the chill. there are different types of sleeping mats, foam, inflated, and self-inflated.

5. Pillow
